Refund policy

FOREFACT returns and refund policy

Version: 2 November 2026

At FOREFACT, we sell digital products that are made available after payment. In this policy, we explain when you can withdraw from a purchase, how immediate digital delivery works and what rights you have if a product does not conform to the agreement.

Your statutory consumer rights always continue to apply.

1. Our products

FOREFACT sells digital products, including:

  • Guides: PDF documents about specific topics and decisions, sometimes with an Excel workbook.
  • Founder Stories: digital stories and analyses about the decisions behind well-known companies.
  • Programs: digital programmes for mindset and personal development.
  • Packs and bundles: fixed combinations of several digital products at a bundle price.
  • Gift cards: digitally delivered store credit that can be used to buy FOREFACT products.

The guides, Founder Stories, Programs and accompanying files are delivered digitally. There is no physical shipment.

For gift cards, some aspects are subject to different rules than for downloadable digital content.

2. Statutory cooling-off period

For online purchases, consumers in principle have the right to withdraw from an agreement within 14 days without giving any reason.

For downloadable digital content, this period starts when the agreement is concluded.

For digital content, the statutory cooling-off period may lapse if the digital delivery begins during this period and all the applicable statutory conditions have been met.

3. Immediate digital delivery and right of withdrawal

FOREFACT offers digital products that can be made available after payment.

The statutory right of withdrawal for digital content that is not supplied on a tangible medium lapses after delivery has begun only if all of the following conditions have been met:

  1. You have expressly consented in advance to the digital delivery beginning during the statutory cooling-off period.
  2. You have expressly acknowledged that you thereby lose your statutory right of withdrawal.
  3. FOREFACT has confirmed this consent and acknowledgement on a durable medium, for example by email, in accordance with the statutory requirements.

This consent and acknowledgement must be obtained in the manner prescribed by law. Merely accepting general terms and conditions or paying for an order is not sufficient for this.

If the statutory conditions have not been met, the right of withdrawal remains in place to the extent provided by law, even if digital content has already been made available or downloaded.

4. Withdrawing before delivery begins

If the digital delivery has not yet begun and you still have a statutory right of withdrawal, you can withdraw from the agreement during the cooling-off period without giving any reason.

You can do this via:

  • an email to info@forefact.nl;
  • the electronic withdrawal function on forefact.eu;
  • another clear statement showing that you wish to withdraw from the agreement.

You can also use the model form at the bottom of this page. Using it is not mandatory.

It is sufficient for you to send your notice of withdrawal before the applicable cooling-off period has expired.

5. Online withdrawal function

FOREFACT offers an electronic withdrawal function for agreements for which a statutory right of withdrawal exists.

You can find this function via the ‘Withdraw from contract’ link at the bottom of every page of forefact.eu, under Legal. You first fill in the form and then confirm your withdrawal with the ‘Confirm withdrawal’ button.

Using this function, you can indicate which purchase you want to withdraw from. We only ask for the information needed to identify your purchase and process the request.

After submitting a notice of withdrawal via this function, you will immediately receive an acknowledgement of receipt on a durable medium, for example by email, with the relevant information about the request.

You do not need to create an account to exercise a statutory right of withdrawal.

The electronic withdrawal function is an additional option. You retain the right to make your withdrawal known in another legally permitted way.

6. Packs and bundles

A pack or bundle consists of several digital products that are offered together at a bundle price.

When a pack is bought as a whole, the applicable right of withdrawal is in principle assessed on the basis of the agreement concerned and the statutory rules.

Making separate files available does not automatically mean that a separate agreement has been concluded for each file.

If a part of a pack is missing or does not conform to the agreement, you retain the statutory rights that apply.

Depending on the circumstances, an appropriate solution may consist of delivering the missing part after all, repair, a price reduction or termination of the agreement to the extent permitted by law.

7. Gift cards

A FOREFACT gift card is digital store credit that can be spent in the online shop.

A digitally delivered gift card is not automatically the same as a downloadable guide. A statutory cooling-off period of 14 days may therefore apply to the online purchase of a gift card.

If you validly withdraw from the purchase of an unused gift card within the applicable cooling-off period, the purchase will be refunded and the gift card concerned may be deactivated.

If a gift card has already been used in full or in part, we assess the withdrawal request in accordance with the applicable statutory rules and the circumstances of the purchase. Using the gift card does not automatically remove statutory rights.

The period of validity of FOREFACT gift cards is stated at the time of purchase and meets at least the applicable statutory requirements.

Outside a statutory or contractual right to a refund, a gift card cannot be exchanged for cash.

8. Problems with digital products

Even if the statutory right of withdrawal has validly lapsed, you retain your rights if a digital product does not conform to the agreement.

Contact us if:

  • a purchased file is not delivered;
  • a download link does not work;
  • a file is damaged or cannot be opened normally;
  • you have received the wrong product;
  • parts of a purchased pack are missing;
  • the digital content does not meet what you may reasonably expect under the agreement and the law.

We assess the report and, where required, offer a free repair or another appropriate statutory remedy.

If a repair is not possible, does not take place within a reasonable period or the law prescribes another remedy, you may be entitled to a price reduction or to termination of the agreement and a refund.

A provision on the loss of the right of withdrawal does not limit these rights.

9. Refunds

If you validly withdraw from an agreement, we will refund the amounts due without undue delay, and at the latest within 14 days of being informed of your withdrawal.

In principle, we use the same means of payment as for the original payment, unless another method has been expressly agreed.

We do not charge any costs for a refund required by law.

In the case of a non-conforming digital product, we apply the statutory rules on repair, price reduction and termination of the agreement.

A customer who has validly lost the right of withdrawal after the digital delivery began cannot withdraw from the agreement solely because they have changed their mind.

This does not affect rights in the case of defective or non-conforming digital content.

10. Business purchases

The statutory cooling-off period that applies to consumers for distance contracts does not automatically apply to purchases made in the course of a profession or business.

Business customers retain the rights arising from their agreement and the applicable law.

11. How to request a withdrawal

If you have a statutory right of withdrawal, you can exercise it by sending a clear statement within the applicable period.
